Funky Garcia's is located in the gaslamp and is the go to spot for Wednesday happy hour because its from 3pm to CLOSE! AND EVERY DRINK & SHOT is 1/2 off!!!!!! $4.00 house margaritas and ALL beer is only $2.00. You cannot beat that for any happy hour! The chicken and carne asada tacos pictured above are only a $1.50 and taste awesome! CHECK IT OUTZ!

One of the best bars in pacific beach, this place is great to visit during the day or happy hour. Not my kind of place at night though. This month the beer special is $2.50 Widmer Hefeweizen all day. Make sure to check your bill before you pay though, there have been some complaints about the bill being higher than it should at night. Also they charge a $5 cover at night which sucks. I mean I am not paying $5 to go to this place at night when all the happy hour deals are over with, sorry.

My Favorite Greatest Beer Of All Time! HITACHINO NEST!

If you like light beers and Pale Ales then this is a must to try! Hitachino Nest White Ale is my favorite all time beer hands down! Hitachino Nest is an imported beer from Japan! It is hard to find and i have only seen it at one bar in all of San Diego (Hamilton's). I recently discovered that BevMo in Carmel Mountain carries it at 4.99 a 12 oz bottle. But it is GREAT!
Hitachino Nest is a somewhat hopped out Belgian style beer with a complex flavor of coriander, orange peel & nutmeg. Hitachino Nest White Ale has won a few gold medals at several beer competitions in the U.K. and the U.S. It is also Nest's top selling beer! (They also have Red Ale among many other types) It is very hard to find in the U.S. so look for it at a specialty beer or liquor store that carries various imported beers. You will not bew dissapointed!

Lefty's Pizza in North Park on 30th Street

In San Diego There is only one spot to go to that has the best Deep Dish pizza in the west! Lefty's Pizza in North Park. It takes about 50 to 55 minutes to make the pizza! They do not deliver so you can either eat there or pick it up. The pizza is huge and HEAVY. They also have thin crust pizza and a variety of subs!
As far as deep dish goes this is a must, rivaling any Chicago style deep dish pizza in the Chi!

Happyhour at La Puerta in the Gaslamp!

Today we went to happy hour in San Diego's Gaslamp at La Puerta, located on 4th Ave in between Market and Island street. Happyhour here is 7 days a week starting from 3 to 7. The happy hour is 1/2 off all drinks and 1/2 off all appetizers. They have about 100 different tequila's there! Their margaritas are hand made on the spot!
One drink to try is the frozen mojito which is hand mixed fresh every day. It is awesome! The carna asada fry's (pictured above) are incredible here too! Try them both if you go there. Happyhour resumes once again every night from 10 to close!
Some special nights are thursday nights 10 to close with $3 frozen drinks (great for those frozen margarita's and mojitos!). Sundays its $1 mimosa's with a live DJ. On Mondays enjoy happyhour starting from 3 pm till CLOSE!!!! This is a great spot to hit up in the Gaslamp!

On Broadway with Dave Aude

Last night was so fun and awesome! Me and my cousin went to see DJ Dave Aude at On Broadway. One of my favorite clubs in San Diego, they still bringin names to their club. Got in for free, snuck into the VIP hung out with him and his wife for a lil bit paid $130 for drinks. But had a great time! If your in San Diego and want to go to a nice club then this is one to hit up!

Winesteals Wine Tasting (Saturday)

So on the weekend its $10 wine tasting at wine steals from 4 to 6:30 pm. About 20 to 30 wines and the drinks are good. Its a nice spot in hillcrest and a great place to go to with a group of friends. And that is exactly what we did today. Also dont forget to check out ono sushi happy hour till 7pm across the street for $2 well drinks.

Las Cuatro Milpas

Me and my cousin Abraham went to Las Cuatro Milpas to eat breakfast. We ordered chicken burritos, tamales, rice and beans and other stuff to feed 3 people. We ordered way too much and have leftovers for lunch.

So if you live in San Diego and have never been to this joint then you don't know what your missing. Its been open since 1933 making it the oldest fast food Mexican joint in town possibly in the U.S. The food here is as authentic as it gets! Everything is made in the store. they open at 9:00am and close at 2:00pm or when they run out of food, whichever comes first. There is always a line out the door at this place, literally! Always a wide variety of people in line from cops, to figher fighters, mailmen and construction workers. Go now! This place is cheap! Excellent food!
